Except that British Archaeology week is presumably open to people in Scotland, whereas Scottish Archaeology Month presumably doesn't return the favour?
:face-stir:
I wonder what would happen if someone in England held an event as part of Scottish Archaeology Month? Probably, the world would implode with the shear ludicrousness (spelling!?) of it all!
Also, what would you do if you wanted to hold an event in an area that spanned the border? Oh why can't life be more simple?
My point still stands - why are there two organisations and two events when one apparently should be able to cover it all? Don't tell me it all revolves around the different dates of the school holidays! I can just imagine future archaeologists picking over the burnt remains of Carlisle, Berwick, and any other border(ish) towns saying, 'apparently it was the children's fault'.
