At The Digger, we have always wanted to avoid subscriptions if possible. There will always be archaeologists who simply couldn?t afford to pay ? and these are the very people who the newsletter is aimed at. So far The Digger has always survived on contributions from readers ? a fiver here or a tenner there, sometimes more if people can afford it. Hopefully this will continue (a few generous souls are sending in cheques now to finance Digger 39 that should be out in December/January).
For the record, the IFA as an organization has never financed The Digger, although individual IFA members have no doubt sent in contributions.
PS ? stamps would be welcome, but they should be 2nd class and self-adhesive if possible. Send contributions (or stamps!) to PO Box 23570, London, E13 9YP.
