Hmm, I was just looking at that, I wish I'd found it. If you haven't seen it then there are a few decent examples on this website, which also makes me jealous, I mean look at the condition of those swords they found at Cologne, it's just not fair.
With any luck he will find a bit more. Anything mentioning a unit would no doubt be considered important (although finding one of these is more than a little rare).

This site has a whole section on diplomas. Unfortunatley the equestrians don't like us plebs to learn latin, so no help there.

I could do the latin but the definition of supersize on the UKdfd does not really fit with mine. Take it to your flo/ North Yorks Museum Service.

Please feel free to pass the information on... its in the public domain.
There is also a facility on the database where you can contact the recorder directly. As I have stated its not my find but its posted to the database.
