I days of yore I had some kids books published, it took quite a long time of posting 'ideas,' out to publishers before one of them bit at the hook -and I went through the whole business of posting (by registered mail) each story idea back to myself before I sent it off, (in case the publishers found someone else to rip off my ideas.) You eventually end up with a sodding great stack of of ideas sealed up in envelopes (cos there was illustrations in them they were big A4 envelopes) mouldering away in the attic that nobody gives a s**t about. Not even me.
The most important thing about an 'idea' is the mind that creates it - nobody can take that off you. My guess is that the company that ripped off the other companies stuff hasn't the ability to dig a dunny hole especially if they can't write a few words to explain themselves.
Next Winter I know how I'll light the fire.
