"(we don't all live in easy commuting distance of London)"
Well, to be fair, we don't all live within easy commuting distance of anywhere. In terms of other conferences and meetings that I've been involved in, there is always a substantial group of people (usually the senior types), who consider anywhere not London as too far away.
I'd like to the IFA to attempt to influence bring forward new infrastructure, and ensuring that archaeology maintains its status within the planning system. Perhaps they could also disseminate information about support for small to medium enterprises (units), and make sure that everyone knows about government schemes to encourage credit lines and training opportunities.
