That is a dreadful situation Nell!! Although I am totally in the dark as to the company and individuals involved, I would like to offer an apology on behalf of the vast majority of male archaeologists, who I know would never subject female colleagues to that kind of harassment. The harassment is totally out of order, but the failure of your colleagues to stand up for you is a very sad indictment on UK archaeology in 2013.....what a bunch of pathetic cowards!! I hope that your future involvement with archaeology is more enjoyable and with more enlightened colleagues.
Uo1: i think the 3 month limit might be the cut-off date with which to lodge an action with the Industrial Tribunal.....however if you believe that a criminal case of harassment or assault has taken place there is no time-limit in notifying the police (as for example the reports of assault in the Savile et al cases being reported at the moment).
