The PAS with it's valuable links to both regionals and the British Museum would be all to pleased to help Gary, and have access to all the specialists you need to improve your record. Perhaps archaeological / geophysical investigation of the findspot would also be appropriate - I suggest that you or the finder contacts the relevant local authority archaeologist who may have access to funds for emergency investigation if appropriate.
Not sure how I would contact the finder having looked at your website. Can find his name, but there must be quite a few people around called that.
Anyway perhaps the finder should pursue the avenues indicated above. I'm sure you will pass this on to them and let us know what else they dig up when metal detecting on or near Neolithic funerary monuments in future.
