Medi-evil. The question of detectorists is a huge one and trust me-I`m for baseball bats every time. However, Sea Surgeon needs to recognise a couple of things. For starters, he/she does not decide what is or is`nt offensive on this site-that`s for Mr Hosty. If "I`m not apologising.." is the contributors response then quite frankly-that`s arrogant in the extreme. Whilst Sea-surgeon displays a superb grasp of grammar, argues like a pro and makes some extremely valid points, he/she needs to recognise that this site is readable worldwide. Efforts are underway to make serious headway on the detecting issue. Long lasting and tangible results come from careful research and planning...let it run it`s course. On the free-speech front...I`m not willing to discuss the years I spent fighting Nazis/hunters/vivisectionists and any fekker else who uses violence to achieve personal agendas so all this rant about eco-activism and protest-whilst heart warming, is mis- directed.Been there...lots. Don`t get me wrong, I`m on your soddin side but-there are ways and means if you get my drift. There are times and places for confrontation and you will find me up the front every time but, when greater benefits can come from carefully planned ideas...I`m up for that too. Sea surgeon isnt banned-just made to stand in the corner for a bit.If it`s any consolation, I get my bum smacked on here too...difference is...I quite like it. Guys, don`t go away...just grasp the bajr etiquette by the genitals and get stuck in. With Sea-surgeons clear grasp of language, he/she should have no problems in putting together some devastating messages on here (within the rules!) and I for one look forward to seeing them...Hope this helps...
