I think that Caesar mentions the slaves and hunting dogs as being particularly good.
Britian was also exporting gold from Carmarthenshire, tin from Cornwall and (i think) copper from the Great Orme. The early date of the fort at Charterhouse on Mendip suggests that they made taking control of the lead extraction a priority, although I don't know of any definate evidence of pre Roman extraction...
