Presumably from IfA's point of view it could only be a, errr, a chartered archaeologist...

If they can get you asking the wrong questions, they don't have to worry about answers

I shall watch developments with interest. I hope, for the sake of archaeology and all who work within the industry, those vociferous members of the CIfA manage to steer it in a direction that gives the rest of us some confidence in it. They have much work to do though.
