I liked 'two men in a trench'.
In the ones I saw........ They had a plan (objective). Did preliminary works to look for best spot to dig a trench or two (geophysics, map regression, etc etc). Dug some trenches Got dirty and wet Usually didn't find much. Seemed very like field archaeology to me ![]()

And somehow the trenching managed to look more 'real' than TT - the only trenches I've ever dug round the back of a pub certainly came with free beers anyway, and also found XXXX-all ![]()

Yes, that is a excellent blog post - thanks for flagging it up. Apart from the 3 day evaluation as commercial norm bit, reckon she's pretty much spot on throughout.
