Steamed Beech Sieve! - A thing of beauty
#1
ONLY AVAILABLE IN THE UK - HELP SUPPORT TRADITIONAL CRAFT

A traditional sieve with a difference, handmade in Whaley Bridge, by the UK's sole surviving traditional maker of wood framed riddles and sieves.
  • This 18" steamed beech frames, with 1/4" (6mm) mesh is perfect for finding smaller items and artefacts while excavating.
  • Remember though that it will not recover items less than 6mm in size - so may not be used to collect ecofacts (such as seeds and charcoal) - for example.
  • This sieve is both sturdier and more attractive than their common tin, plastic, or ply counterparts.
Quality does matter. Beautiful item as well! and for one month only... ?19.95

We have found true love in a sieve form!

There is surely nothing worse than washing sieves
There is surely nothing worse than washing sieves
With the possible exception
Of being Garth Crooks

There is surely nothing worse than washing sieves
Do you switch the kitchen light off with your chin?
Do you switch the kitchen light off with your chin?

When you?re holding tea and toast
And there?s no-one else about
Do you switch the kitchen light off with your chin?

When you?re down beside the lake you?re bound to hear
When you?re down beside the lake you?re bound to hear
When you?re down beside the lake you?re bound to hear somebody say:
?Careful now, that swan can break your arm?

Oh before the gods that made the gods were born
Yes before the gods that made the gods were born
Yes before the gods that made the gods
Woke up and made the gods
That?s when you got into
That?s when you got into
Yeah that?s when you first got into the Manics
