An introduction to dealing with Iron Slag on archaeological sites.

the Archaeology Committee of the Historical Metallurgy Society has decided to revise the whole set of Datasheets, which they hope to complete in the autumn.

In the meantime, they have produced this - an introduction to dealing with Iron Slag on archaeological sites.

This is very much aimed at field people and other BAJR regulars, and is deliberately in a two-sided format so that it can be printed out and laminated for use on site.

Nice one.. and thanks Paul for sending this over to us. :face-approve:
If you are interested in Historical Metallurgy then a facebook group is ready for you..

The Historical Metallurgy Society is a dynamic and exciting international forum for exchange of information and research in historical metallurgy. This means all aspects of the history and archaeology of metals and associated materials from prehistory to the present day.

Lots to see on this active group
