Does Tenby have a town archaeologist?
As the title suggests, my question is whether Tenby Council have an archaeologist or whether I would be better off looking at Pembrokeshire County Council? I have had a bit of a look on the net but found nowt. Any ideas anyone?

Go to the Full list of COUNCILS linked to the correct Archaeological Service responsible for advice (435 entries)

Tenby is as you say in Pembrokshire.. and the correct Curatorial Service is

I had a look i am not sure if Tenby is in the National Park but the the relervent person should still be based at the Dyfed Archaeological Trust office
Archaeology is the peeping Tom of the sciences It is the sandbox of men who care not where they are going; they merely want to know where everyone else has been.
the pembrokshire national park does have thier own archaeologist but they are based part time at the local trust
I get worried what a local local trust is... shades of league of gentleman.. Smile

ahem... anyway... can one ask if this enquiry is to protect some monument or see if their is a post in the offing? sorry... just nosey
Many thanks for the help Genossen,

I have just PM'd the BAJR short....protect monuments? I am a commercial archaeologist - I destroy things. Post in the offing? No,but maybe later. A bit secret squirrel I know but there you go. Off to the pub now and I suggest you do the same.

Dyfed Archaeological Trust heritage management usually cover this area I think.
