BBC release 15 Chronicle episodes from archive

To coincide with BBC Radio Four's ground-breaking 'A History of the World in
100 objects
" the BBC archive collections team have today released 15 episodes
of the long-running archaeology programme 'Chronicle' from the archives.

These programmes cover key moment in modern archaeology, such as the dig at
the Silbury mound, and also visit important archaeological sites throughout
the world, such as Knossos, Sutton Hoo and Hatra (al-Hadr).

The programmes and information about them are now online at the BBC Archive
website and will form a permanent resource which can be accessed by all UK
residents.

'Chronicle: Archaeology on television' is the 33rd collection to be released
by BBC Archive and will now form a part of this permanent resource which the
BBC has made available online.
