Reburial of human remains from Avebury
Greetings to all. Have just had a look at the link suggested and am still not convinced. "Cobdo" talk about the importance of "continuity of beliefs..customs and language" when there is simply no such thing. COBDO hint that "Druids" see themselves as the "modern incarnation of several prehistoric belief structures and .....prehistoric cultural pursuits". Without wishing to sound rude guys, what a load of rubbish. Believe exactly what you like and perform whatever "rituals" you like but please, lets not confuse fact with romantic fiction. No Druid, no pagan of any flavour, no follower of one of the three monotheistic faiths, no tree-hugger, no crystal swinger nor the Pope himself can claim continuity or modern incarnation of any kind when it comes to prehistory. No archaeologist would dare suggest that they have prehistory sussed either. Druids have no more claims to prehistoric people or culture than David Ike does to Lizard skins and Iguanas.
