I wonder how many companies still get away with not giving contracts on the grounds of the site is only 1 or 2 weeks.I recall a spell of that over a couple of years being told the job would be (for example) 1 week in the field and then the sup in charge cutting it short by 1 or 2 days and then getting laid off and only being told on the last day itself!!
A real classic occurred on a 3 week job once when on the last day after the boss had paid a visit to site,come tea-break the sup announced that as of next week everyone gets a pay rise,the reply was "fantastic-just in time to lay us all off THIS week":face-confused:
