Krafse - BAJR Host - 26th April 2008 We had an enquiry from someone through the Past Horizons Tool Shop about how or where to buy a Krafse (Norwegian Digging Tool) Gary Brun if you are reading this do you know of such a thing. "No job worth doing was ever done on time or under budget.." Khufu Krafse - garybrun - 26th April 2008 Yes I do... and you can get them in the UK. Its like Dutch Hoe... road workers use them. Krafse - kevin wooldridge - 26th April 2008 Not so sure that krafser are readily available in the UK...., but I have mailed the basement wallah equipment man at the Kulturhistorisk Museum at the University of Oslo and asked him where they get their tools from. As soon as he replies I will let you know. I seem to remember the last time a UK unit tried to import krafser from Norway they ended up paying a large import tax bill cos' they were classed as agricultural equipment from a non-EU country. You might try therefore to get them through Sweden where you won't have so much of a problem. I would also recommend that you make sure you also get the 'brett' with this tool (the useful tray that the spoil is shovelled into). Krafse - garybrun - 26th April 2008 I agree Kevin it is very expencive to purchase from Norway I think David now knows of a UK supplier.
