While the object is known, would any forum members be able to translate the script on the object? My written arabic is pretty shabby.

I don't speak or read Arabic and it's stylized, but a bit of guessing and internet wizardry suggests it says "Allahu Akbar": "God is great" / "God is the greatest".

In modern script it would appear as below:

الله أكبر

Thanks, I had posted the same image on FB and a mate of mine in Jordan translated it. I should have taken the clue from what the object is used for. At least "we" were on the right track! Thanks again.
