Time Team opportunity - BAJR - 30th January 2011
AS it happens, I discussed with the TT production people about the presenter advert... and thats why it does not appear on the BAJR advert. I have.. for my sins given them a couple of names, of people who - in my opinion - have what it takes.
It is quite specific, and to give you an idea... they wish they still had Alice Roberts! I offered to wear a drindle skirt... but was rejected.
Seriously though, I was happier that the demographic and representation's starting to widen, hope for us all!

Ha ha. It would be nice if they wanted a female presenter with a bit of age and gravitas. Of course, if they went with someone who isn't an archaeologist, they could simply ask Joanna Lumley. I'd love to see her give one of 'those' looks to Tony Robinson when he starts off on another whinge.

I would vote for Muriel Grey.

I`d like to see TT inviting the Minister for Culture onto the seasons programs. Not only would that provide them with an insight into the potential and importance of archaeology but would also put any comments they chose to make on the telly! As an aside, I vote that Phil Harding should head-up the show with Frankie Boyle as his sidekick.

Inviting the CultureSecretary on would be interesting...wonder if he would be up for the challenge. Another interestting guy might be Clegg - whom I think studied archaeology, and Simon Hughes who has always been a very active supporter of archaeological endeavours in his constituency. John Major also once professed to being a fan of archaeology.....it could be a new mid-programme feature fitted around the new presenter team. How about that woman that was sacked from Countryfile? She ticks lots of 'minority' boxes....
