Fantastic-hoards of nano types are even revealing themselves on BAJR now! Come my little ones-we have some knitting to undo!!!! Term was inspired by a certain Empire Earth game. It illustrates quite nicely how throughout history, behaviour is fairly consistant until the "nano" period when runaway economics and underhand practises are the powerful weapons in chasing empires.
As it turns out,sod the original analogy, I prefer the ones offered by you lot! How about writing a spoof article for submission to New Scientist?Big Grin

There was an old Monty Python sketch about archaeologists of diminished stature.

I would argue that pocket-sized archaeologists are a distinct advantage. We fit into all those tiny little features and save all you big folk from the horror of becoming wedged. [:p]

Fun-size Rich.

Brother Troll is right to fear the depredations of the Nano-Archaeologists, or Nanarchs as those of us in my field of study refer to them. These instruments of deception were released millenia ago as part of a deliberate program of obfuscation, refabricating the archaeostrata in an attempt to obscure the extraterrestrial influences on earth society so obvious to those of us with the open-mindedness to accept them.
How we laugh at your feeble attempts to rationalise the "Ritual behaviour" of our forebears, your pathetic intellectual flailing in the face of the patently cosmological.
Shame on you. The mockery of your colleage is surpassed in irony only by the travesty of your so-called "Interpretations" of the past.

It's ALIENS, Stupid.

And little ones are so much nearer the ground to see things when field walking Big Grin
Think how far tall ones have to bend to dig, the strain on the muscular/skeletal system - make no wonder you all have bad backs Big Grin

I fear the nano-archaeologists - they are too strong.

Well I remember the day, some years ago, when I and another 6-footer failed to lift a big stone out of the hole. Along came a nano-archaeologist (one of the two the smallest I have ever known, under 5-foot), who lifted it easily and unaided.

I and the other bigjob crept off to hide our heads in shame...

I think the technical term for such individuals is 'industrial dwarves'; translated badly from German and quickly coming into common usage on a site a while back.Wink

That guy used to be six foot until he started his spine-compressing party tricks Smile

Does that mean after a few years hard labour my already small stature will be diminished further?! Am I going to end up 4ft 3 instead of 5???Big Grin
