ICHI places available - BAJR Host - 28th April 2009

There are four places available on the ICHI ( Innovation and Cultural Heritage Interpretation) programme to Latvia from the 6th-13th June 2009. If you know of anyone who would like to apply then please ask them to look on the http://www.archnetwork.eu/ website and complete an application form as soon as possible. Details of this year's programme and last years reports are also on the website

The Leonardo da Vinci Grant covers the costs of travel, accommodation and subsistence for the duration of the exchange.

ICHI is open to everyone working in cultural heritage management, the project aims to develop the skills of Scottish professionals involved in the field of heritage interpretation and tourism. It is a wonderful opportunity to network with other Scottish professionals involved in heritage management, cultural heritage interpretation, environmental education, and sustainable rural development programmes as well as being a great way to fulfil your CPD requirements for 2009

The programme has been designed with cooperation with the Latvian Natural History Museum, the main theme is environmental interpretation, it will be led by staff from the Natural History Museum in Riga who work closely with the environmental guides from Latvia's 4 National Parks. The programme focuses on interpretation of natural and cultural heritage sites and how they can deliver social and economic objectives without endangering the resources that they depend on.

Please see the draft programme attached below.

If you require any further information then please email or phone me

Kind Regards
