The Vikings will be staging their annual invasion of the city of York in February, and eager Norse fans will be able to secure their space for key events from Friday, 17 November 2023
“We announced the dates of the 2024 Festival – which runs from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 February – a little earlier than normal, as we know that many people are keen to get their accommodation booked early, but this Friday is when tickets for our biggest events – including the Viking feast and a stunning finale – are released,” comments event manager for JORVIK Viking Festival, Abigail Judge. “These are the events which sell out every year, so we’d encourage people to get their tickets nice and early to avoid disappointment. They make fantastic experiential Christmas presents, too – especially if the tickets are wrapped around a bottle of mead or a toy sword!”
The three events for which tickets are being released are:
Tickets are £95 per person.
You can buy your tickets here.
Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for concessions (ages 3-16 or 60+) and free for under 3s.

“We’ve worked hard on accessibility this year, with pre-bookable dedicated accessible seating and wheelchair areas for our two key outdoor events,” adds Abigail. “We’re also offering tickets for those on low incomes for our Viking Games event, as we are very conscious that the cost-of-living crisis is hitting many families very hard. Even though there are a host of free things to do every year at JORVIK Viking Festival, we have set aside half price tickets so an adult and two children can enjoy the Viking Games for just £10. We are expecting these to be very popular, so encourage early booking.”
