Free training places at Folkstone Fieldschool

Great news from the Canterbury Archaeological Trust.

Due to a generous grant by the Roger De Haan Charitable Trust, they are able to offer a limited number of free training places for Kent-based 16–24 year olds at the East Wear Bay Archaeological Field School this Summer.

The Field School runs this year from 11th July to 6th August.

If you’d like to take advantage of this opportunity, or know someone who would, please contact andrew.richardson@canterburytrust.co.uk

The fieldschool

The intensive four week archaeological training programme led by Canterbury Archaeological Trust lets you learn from our experienced team of professional archaeologists whilst helping to excavate an internationally significant Iron Age settlement and Roman villa at East Wear Bay, Folkestone.

Archaeology skills passports will be accepted for signing.

The site occupies a spectacular cliff-top location looking across the Straits of Dover to the French coast. Click on the link below to learn more about the school http://www.canterburytrust.co.uk/community_archaeology/east-wear-bay/
