Hello all.

We are currently carrying out a community dig at Polesworth Abbey in Warwickshire. It's only day two but it is going to be a brilliant five-week project!

The professional part of the team is from Northamptonshire Archaeology and the rest of the team are all local volunteers who are really enthusiastic and doing a great job already. :D

We are Tweeting, Facebooking, YouTubing, Radio-ing, Flickr-ing and also awaiting the local tv news crews which have been diverted by the riots! :face-crying:

Excellent!

This is happening more and more... and certainly cheers me up that good archaeology can be done, is fun, and is open to all.

Look forward to the Past Horizons Article! ;)

It will mostly involve a posthole, the 1930s tennis court and a totem pole at a cowboys and indians party in 1998! Don't ask...........

Bad luck Angi with the article... hahahahaha *duckes for cover* :face-stir:

Archaeology should be uplifting and inspire all not just those of us with bad backs and a slightly jaded viewpoint of the world!
