One to chew over....
As kids are increasingly aware of what we do and since at least key stage two covers archaeology (however fleetingly) in the curriculum, hows about a section for children where they can post questions.May just become quite a resource for the teachers too. My sisters daughter in the states is only nine and she`s already being taught about the Medieval...sadly by learning "ring a ring o roses" but none the less-tiz a good start. What do you think? Their own thread? Medieval for munchkins? Neolithic for rockers? :face-huh:

Seriously though, isnt bajr an ideal place as an educational resource for teachers? A colleague of mine is an English teacher and has recently been asked to teach history-a subject she has no experience in.This makes a bit of a mockery of the thread by Toots here relaying how her archaeology degrees are irrelevent to teaching history. There are doubtless plenty of bajerites out there with period and artefact specialisms-could we not marry those skills and interests to the needs of the current curriculum and offer some space here as an on-line resource?:face-huh:
