The above link leads to an Ebay listing currently running.

NO WAY was this ever posted by a detectorist!

So who did?

I thought that instead of this conveniently being 'exposed' by one of the hobby's detractors and posted as a shining example of how bad we detectorists are, I would instead take the initiative to post it myself and ask... why?

Why would anyone waste a second of their life to post something like this, totally unbeleivable.

Is it designed to expose the hobby in all its hideous glory?

To cause even more polarisation of views between detectorist and archaeologist?

Or are we seeing the start of yet another anti detecting campaign?

The person only joined ebay yesterday.
I can not see a detectorist writing that... it doesnt fit.
Its all too stupid and randomized.
Lets wait and see where the info apears in the near future.
