Well, you're in the right place. Just follow up any ads on Bajr, send your CV out to as many companies as you can, and then ring them up and badger (no pun intended[8D]) them into giving you an answer! It's crap, but we all have to do it, it's really the only way to get into it. Make sure that you stress that you do have some digging alredy.
If youre interested, I just saw that the irish Dept of the Environment are looking for students to fill their summer placements. I don't know if they're paid, or even if you have to be irish or resident in Ireland to go for them or anything, but it's worth a look... www.environ.ie Catches are 1., they're in Ireland, and 2., Closing date is Friday!
Good luck, and remember, if at first you don't succeed, keep trying til you do!!!!

I think they do get paid something, we had a girl on one of those schemes who was working with Ducas surveyors do a week with us for experience and I think she got paid something.

yes but be careful, some people are unscrupulous enough to take advantage of your willingness to get involved. make sure you agree terms before you start.
good luck

Worcestershire CC is short handed at the moment and it's about to get extremely busy till November. There's an ad in the Jobs section. I think they might even be thinking of taking on a few newbees with less than 6 months (but don't quote me on that).
