Dear colleagues,
I am writing to members of this site to invite them to view a copy of
Archaeology World Report.
The first edition of the magazine came out a few weeks ago, naturally
we are keen to encourage those interest in World Field Archaeology
to contact us for a sample copy.
The first editions main articles looks at the important prehistoric
settlement in Japan at Yoshinogari, then we take a look at the
site of one of Tasmania's convict sites at Port Arthur. The first
edition covered the Archaeology of Antarctica which is an unusual
step in examining very recent Archaeological remains, this article
is illustrated with a colour artist inpression. We also examined the
archaeology of Mapungubwe - the remains of a renowned Late Iron Age
site, and we visited the remaining archaeology of the first and second
World War along the Maginot and Siegfried Line.
The magazine is illustrated with colourful and black & white photographs,
line drawings and reconstructions - supporting the main articles mentioned
above and a number of other small articles, book reviews and in the first
edition an interview with Professor Andrew Sherratt.
Those interested in a sample copy should send their name and address
with a cheque made payable to Archaeology World Report for £4 to:
