I have to say that Karl Lee is a fantastic flint knapper. I had the opportunity to see him in action at an event I organised last year for (what was then) National Archaeology Week.

One of the most memorable stories of the day, which was related to Councillors at a post event round-up meeting, involved Karl. There was a gand of youths in the park that had been caught drinking by two police officers who were patrolling the park and thrown out. They came back not long after, minus cans, still wanting to hang out. One of my colleagues saw them and thought the best was to divert trouble was to get them interested in what was going on. So he went over to them and chatted to them about the event and took them over to see Karl flint knapping. They stood there, enthralled and one of them remarked to his friend 'thats f**king amazing!'.

I must say all through the event I don't think I saw Karl with crowds of less than 3 feet deep. He'd come highly recommended by the local Museum, and I have to say I now recommend him to others also. Definitely worth going on this if you have the opportunity.

Brilliant! Never mind Asbo's. Get hoodies flint knapping! That will sort them right out. Probably blind a few of them as well, what with the bits flying everywhere.
Nobody ever comments on the number of thumb injuries in palaeolithic burials do they?
